I’ve never practiced Yoga before, is it ok to start when I’m pregnant?
Yes! Many mamas begin practicing yoga when during pregnancy or in the months after birth. Our classes are safe for beginners and advanced yogis.
What do I need to bring to class?
For Prenatal Yoga, bring water and a mat. If you don’t have a mat, we have extra! For Postnatal Mama & Baby Yoga, bring water, a mat, and whatever your baby needs. We have extra mats for this class as well, so don’t worry if you have too much to carry to bring your own mat!
How will Yoga prepare me for labor, birth and motherhood?
Yoga exercise helps to strengthen your body for labor and birth, supports healthy hip, back and pelvic alignment and safely encourages the body to open expand to make room for your growing baby. Yoga after pregnancy helps you to find your center again, re-strengthen your core and back, and relax tense muscles. Practicing breath-work, meditation and deep relaxation during and after pregnancy can boost physical and emotional health, increase energy, and create a deep sense of calm and balance.
